Please note the many time zones that will be encountered between Saturday and Sunday. This year has a double problem with standard time switching to daylight savings time (loosing an hour) and geographic location crossing back and forth over time zones. Louisville is in the Eastern time zone, and Bowling Green is in the Central Time zone.

For international attendees, Louisville normally runs at –5:00 GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) and is one hour ahead of Bowling Green, at –6:00 GMT. However, at midnight on the night of March 31, 2001, most of the U.S. switches to Daylight Savings Time and turns their clocks ahead one hour.

Saturday March 31, 2001

Shuttles throughout the afternoon from the airport to Bowling Green, Kentucky for the field trip.

7:00 p.m. EST (Eastern Standard Time) – Last shuttle

8:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. CST (Central Standard Time) – Introductory lecture at Lost River Cave

7:00 a.m. CDT (Central Daylight Savings Time) – Board bus for field trip

6:00 p.m. EDT (Eastern Daylight Savings Time) – Bus arrives in Louisville

1:00 – 5:00 p.m. EDT – Exhibit set-up in Cochran Room, Galt House

5:00 – 8:00 p.m. EDT – Registration table open in Cochran Room, Galt House

8:00 – 10:00 p.m. EDT – Welcome Social in Cochran Room, Galt House

7:00 a.m. – Registration table opens in Cochran Room, Galt House

8:00 a.m. – Welcome & Introduction in Archibald Room, Galt House

8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. – Plenary Session in Archibald Room, Galt House
